The Mid-Atlantic states are currently smothered under a blanket of heat and humidity. This is just another perspective.

I can't wait for October.

More "political" cartoonery

DOMA bites the dust.

The Black Widow in the web of diamonds - not the best scan, but more inking practice.

Tonight's topic is benchmarks. Below is a drawing I did in 2010 when I was first starting to get back into something I had enjoyed when I was a kid, but had stopped doing. I almost hesitate to post this, but it is a good baseline on where I was at the time.

I will spare everyone the versions from 2012, but here is the 2013 version.

I realize I have a ways to go, but at least I'm making progress. Maybe it'll be an oil painting by 2020.

Also from 2013, the same two gentlemen, armed.

Tune in next time when everyone stops standing around posing and actually starts talking to each other.

Experiments with Copics and colored pencils. Because if you can't experiment on yourself, who can you experiment on?

Happy St. Patrick's Day.

Welcome to my inaugural blog. We begin with some seasonal art.

The Black Widow's Opinion of Valentine's Day

That was some Mardi Gras. I woke up on Bourbon Street in just a mask and these beads.

In which Cupid is more heavily armed than first thought.
